South Florida native Nicole Marcus came to Frost on a scholarship and graduated with honors in Studio Music and Jazz drum set performance, then headed to New York as the drummer for the original Off-Broadway production of Dear Edwina. In Los Angeles she played drums, guitar, keyboards and percussion in the onscreen band for the first season of FOX’s Glee, and her TV work also includes Oprah, Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, One Mississippi and ABC’s Mickey’s 90th Spectacular.
She played drums on the first international tour of Hair, subbed on drums for NBC’s Grease Live and Hairspray Live, played congas behind Keith Urban on YouTube’s Best Cover Ever, and more recently has drummed for EMI artist Caity Baser and for Lily Meola, including BottleRock 2021 and a 2022 tour. Now working on both coasts, she is also a singer-songwriter and producer: she wrote, sang and played every instrument on her own EP, which reached No. 4 on iTunes’ singer-songwriter EP chart, and she composes for theater and web series.
